2. Bucks trade for Stephen Curry

Before Curry won four championships next to Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, he was sharing the backcourt with Monta Ellis. There was serious debate among Warriors brass about which guard to build around, especially as Curry dealt with ankle injuries.

Golden State traded Ellis to the Bucks in 2012 with Kwame Brown and Ekpe Udoh for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson. Monta was a bucket but lasted just one full season before leaving for the Mavericks in free agency.

It came out later that the Warriors discussed trading Curry in that deal before then-head coach Mark Jackson stepped in. Jackson believed in the greatest shooter of all time and helped him blossom into a star. All of that could have happened in the 414 if the Warriors decided to keep Monta over Curry in 2012.

Trading for Curry may not have brought Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Bucks the following year. The franchise knows how to build around a superstar, and they would have found a way to create a contender around Steph. This era would have been completely different and may have led to LeBron getting a few more rings along the way. Certainly, the battles between the Bucks and King James would have taken on a new dimension.
