5 Opponents we'd like to see the Milwaukee Bucks open the 2024-25 season against

New York Knicks
All of the matchups between Milwaukee and New York last season were must-see television, with the two Eastern Conference foes putting on a tremendous show. This coming season, things should be no different, as they will both be competing to make it out of the conference, so putting them against one another to kick things off would be beyond justifiable.
A significant reason for the excitement was the battle between the two top guards. Jalen Brunson of the Knicks averaged 37.2 points in five contests against the Bucks, as the team had no answer to his offensive onslaught. Milwaukee's Damian Lillard did his best to combat this by putting up 26.4 points in that same timeframe. These two seemed to bring the best out of each other every single game.
The Knicks were already a good team, but they beefed up their personnel even further by swinging an out-of-nowhere trade for Mikal Bridges, one of the best rising wings in the association. They did so by primarily shipping out draft capital, allowing them to keep their core of Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, OG Anunoby and Donte DiVincenzo intact. On paper, they have an extremely impressive roster.
These could be two team competing for it all down the line.
