John Wall
This is not a situation like most other players on this list. John Wall is not an unproven, young player who may be a hidden gem. He's a five-time All-Star, All-NBA and All-Defensive player who was one of the best point guards in the league at his peak. Injuries ultimately derailed his career, as appeared in 147 games over the last seven seasons, including three seasons where he didn't play a single game.
Despite missing all of last season, Wall has made it clear that he's not giving up on getting back into the NBA, saying that he's willing to accept any role offered to him. With that in mind, the Bucks may make sense as a team willing to take a flyer on him to, at the bare minimum, see what he has left in the tank at 33 years old.
Delon Wright is currently set to serve as Milwaukee's backup point guard, but if Wall has anything left to give at the NBA level, those two could be a nice one-two punch off the bench to back up the duo of Damian Lillard and Gary Trent Jr. Can you imagine what rookie guard AJ Johnson could learn from that collection of talent in the backcourt? Whew.
Wall will likely never return to his 20-point, 10-assist-per-game form, but if he can still put points on the board while facilitating and playing decent defense while staying healthy, his story might not be over. A camp deal would be the definition of low-risk for the Bucks.
