Houston Rockets

Another team that Iko reports will have eyes for Beasley this NBA off-season is the Houston Rockets.

Houston could use a perimeter threat offensively, as they had the 23rd-best 3-point percentage in the NBA during the regular season. Management needs to surround core pieces like Fred VanVleet, Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun with an outside shooter to better space the floor for them on the offensive end, allowing them to operate more freely.

Malik Beasley would fit in seamlessly, serving as the perfect catch-and-shoot threat to add versatility to this Houston offense. The Rockets will have some money to spend this off-season, so they could make the guard a reasonable offer and a prominent role, two things likely near the top of his wish list heading into NBA Free Agency.

The Rockets will be a fascinating team to monitor this NBA off-season. They have their building block places in place, as alluded to, and a quality coach in Ime Udoka. With a few tweaks to the supporting cast, they could perhaps take the leap to contention very soon. Adding Beasley wouldn't elevate the franchise to that level alone, but he could certainly help.

Keep an eye on the Rockets as an aggressive suitor for the guard's services.
