2. Donte DiVincenzo, New York Knicks

It was always clear that Donte DiVincenzo had potential during his days with the Milwaukee Bucks, but the big question was if he'd be healthy enough to ever show it. He had his share of bouts with the injury bug in Milwaukee, notably playing just three games during the 2021 NBA Playoffs, where the team went on to win it all with him on the sidelines.

After being traded away from the Bucks, the guard spent time with the Kings and Warriors, where he once again flashed potential, but not enough. When DiVincenzo signed a four-year deal worth $46.9 million last offseason, many thought it was a bit of an overpay by the Knicks. However, he silenced those doubters with what was by far his best year as a professional yet.

Having appeared in 81 games last season, DiVincenzo showed that he can not only stay healthy but that he could also be an incredible role player, averaging 15.5 points while shooting 40.1 percent from deep while providing electric defense and hustle. It's exactly the type of player the Bucks wanted him to develop into and, ironically, one they could use right now.

DiVincenzo could hurt the Bucks next season as the Knicks will be rubbing shoulders with them in the Eastern Conference title chase. They were already a contender last season, but the abrupt addition of Mikal Bridges takes them up a notch. In addition to seeing them during the regular season, there's a chance they could meet in the NBA Playoffs as well.

In a potential playoff matchup, DiVincenzo's do-it-all playstyle may pose significant problems for the Milwaukee Bucks, who are known to struggle to contain uber-athletic players. He could have a game where he knocks down six triples while playing eye-catching defense against Milwaukee's guards. There would also likely be plenty of motivation to beat the team that traded him away.
