The Milwaukee Bucks have officially received signatures from four of their new free-agent signings, including Delon Wright, Stanley Umude, Taurean Prince and Gary Trent Jr.

Despite several of those players being signed weeks ago, none of them had chosen which number they would be wearing this coming season prior to Wednesday. Many fans bought into a conspiracy that perhaps the newcomers were waiting to see which players would be on the roster by the time the 2024-25 season got closer before choosing, fueling the idea that trades could be on the way.

It was an interesting thought, but that idea can now be squashed.

On Wednesday, the official numbers for all four players were announced. Gary Trent Jr. will wear No. 5, Delon Wright will wear No. 55, Taurean Prince will wear No. 12, and Stanley Umude will rock No. 17.

The jersey reveals do not mean the Bucks are done making moves

While the jersey number reveals squash this particular theory, the team is by no means done making moves this offseason because of it. If a trade were to transpire, these newcomers could still switch their number to something more of their liking. These numbers are far from set in stone, similar to the team's current collection of players on the payroll.

If they are scouting the trade market, what might the Milwaukee Bucks need? They could always use another strong perimeter defender and or a body in the frontcourt. With their limited draft capital and second apron restrictions, making a trade is far more difficult than it has been over the last few years, which is why things have been so quiet in that regard since the offseason began.

Only time will tell what general manager Jon Horst and the rest of this front office have planned after a strong offseason thus far. The team is known to be active on the trade market, so it wouldn't come as much of a shock if they were to pull off some sort of deal before the new season begins, even if it's nothing sizeable.
