Detroit Pistons - Bucks facing former player Malik Beasley

Bucks' guard Gary Trent Jr. will not be the only player facing a former team during the NBA Cup.

Sharpshooter Malik Beasley spent last season in Milwaukee and played some solid basketball as the team's starting two-guard. This offseason, the guard inked a one-year deal with the Detroit Pistons, a Central Division foe for the Bucks. This won't be the primary headline on every sports network, but it is something to keep an eye on as the game is being played.

Beasley is the type of player who could go off for six or so threes any given night. especially against a former team. In a double OT game against the Los Angeles Lakers, one of his former teams, last year, he had 21 points. Against his former Utah squad, Beasley knocked down five triples and finished with 17 points. It's possible he could be motivated and catch fire against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Seeing Gary Trent Jr. on the court wearing his former No. 5 jersey while playing his position could give Beasley some added fuel for this particular matchup. Playing on a "prove-it" deal, Beasley will want as many teams as possible to see what he can do, and the bright lights of the NBA Cup will give him a chance to showcase what he can do on a relatively big stage.

Fans, be ready on December 3.
