Earlier this offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks signed veteran forward Taurean Prince to a one-year deal worth the veteran's minimum.

Given that the Bucks have been searching for a versatile defensive forward like Prince for years now, the veteran is expected to play a rather large role. The defensive end is where Prince will be needed the most, but the team would also certainly welcome his production offensively. Upon signing with the Bucks, Prince made a particular request to try and set himself up to do his part offensively.

Bucks' Taurean Prince continues to say all of the right things

At Media Day on Monday, Prince said one of the first things he did after signing was ask for all of the clips of assisted 3-point makes from Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton so he can see how those three like to operate and where he needs to be positionally offensively as he waits for a pass on the perimeter.

Floor spacing will be Prince's primary duty on offense, giving that trio a reliable threat on the 3-point line who is always ready to fire. The veteran has shot 37.6 percent from deep in his career, so he has the chops to thrive with the number of open looks he will earn playing with this particular group.

Prince mentioned that he was unable to work out with any of Milwaukee's stars during the offseason, so this will be a huge boost for the Milwaukee Bucks from a chemistry standpoint. When camp starts and they actually work out together for the first time, Prince will already have some built-in knowledge of their tendencies because he got a headstart with the film he requested.

Since signing with the Milwaukee Bucks, Taurean Prince has done nothing but get on the good side of fans with his comments. On a recent episode of 'Run Your Race' from Tidal League, Prince discussed how he's ready to bring his trademark defense as he backs up Khris Middleton, embracing his role as a key member of the Milwaukee Bucks' second unit.

As previously mentioned, he's the exact type of defensive-minded forward this franchise has been searching for over the past few years, and the hope is that they've found their answer. If the forward does have a successful tenure in Milwaukee, it will, in part, likely be due to him getting this headstart by watching tape of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton.
