1. Ryan Dunn, F, Phoenix Suns

One of the names that many Bucks fans were hoping they would select was forward Ryan Dunn out of Virginia. The 6-foot-8 wing fell to the 28th pick and was taken by the Phoenix Suns after they traded back from pick 22 with the Denver Nuggets.

Dunn was recognized as one of, if not the best defender, in the draft. That label was something that the Bucks needed to bolster their wing defense and add to the versatility they are hoping to play without the ball this season.

To back this up, he achieved ACC All-Defensive Team status in his second season at Virginia. In five preseason games with Phoenix, he averaged 9.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks.

Another factor with Ryan Dunn is where he was drafted. The Suns have made similar big moves to the Bucks in recent seasons with the additions of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. They also have made a coaching change in the last 12 months with Bucks title-winning coach Mike Budenholzer at the helm.

With all the similarities involving both teams and both in win-now situations financially, Dunn and Johnson will constantly be talked about, and their contributions to their team's push to lift the Larry O'Brien trophy will be intertwined in conversations.
