2. Terrence Shannon Jr., G/F, Minnesota Timberwolves

Terrence Shannon Jr. fell to the Bucks at pick 23 in multiple mock drafts, and the 24-year-old was another win-now type of player following his five years of college ball, his last two in Illinois. He can play at the shooting guard or small forward position, with his 6-foot-6 frame allowing him to be utilized in multiple rotations and positions.

With experience under his belt, Shannon was arguably the most league-ready player coming into the draft, with so much of his game ironed out in five college years. He was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves at pick 27 and is similar to Dunn and Johnson ias a young player being taken by a team with aspirations to win an NBA championship in the coming seasons.

Shannon averaged six points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 17.5 minutes during four preseason games. The Wolves are another team that have made moves recently, with their deal to acquire Julius Randle from the New York Knicks in exchange for Karl-Anthony Towns being the prominent one.

This might open the door for Shannon to play more this season, with the difference in perimeter shooting between those traded players requiring others to hit from deep throughout the roster.

One thing the Milwaukee Bucks may have considered before taking Shannon was the fact AJ Green, Andre Jackson Jr and MarJon Beauchamp are all still on the roster, and taking Shannon would just add another early 20s player into a logjammed position where the Bucks needed answers now rather than more questions.
