This isn’t really a low point in the Milwaukee Bucks history considering how bad the team was for large stretches of the last few decades, but it’s certainly fair to say this season has been disappointing to more optimistic Bucks fans.

It just feels like the Bucks should be better than they are. There are a plethora of complicated reasons Milwaukee hasn’t been good, but some of that boils down to the players.

While some members of the Bucks have been passing every test this season with flying colors, there are others who have not done so well. One weak link can snap a chain, meaning one or two players not meeting expectations can very well sink a whole team.

To determine where the weak links are in Milwaukee’s chain, I’m going through and giving each member of the roster a midseason grade. These grades aren’t as simple as looking at raw data to determine who’s done well.

I take the player’s role, and equally important their expectations, into account as well. That can result in superior talents getting lower grades than role players.

Remember that these are not grades of a player’s overall skill level, but instead a marker of how they’ve filled their role on the Milwaukee Bucks thus far.

This time around I’ll be grading John Henson, Damien Inglis, O.J. Mayo, Khris Middleton, and Greg Monroe.
