Overview
25 games. That’s all we got from Jabari Parker in the 2014-15 NBA season, before he tore his ACL. I can still remember perfectly exactly how I felt (that can be tough for me sometimes) when I saw it happen, live. I looked at the replay of Jabari’s injury and could pretty much tell. Once you’ve spent enough time around sports and seen enough injuries you can just tell, whether it’s an ACL in basketball, concussion in football, or a sprained ankle on the base paths. Still, I and anyone else watching hoped for the best.

We, and Jabari, did not get the best. His rookie season was shut down not even a third of the way through, leaving his fans and NBA followers to wonder exactly how he’d come back from such a devastating injury so early in his career. On the bright side, his rehab seems to be going very well, and he even has a national TV commercial to show for it!
Let’s not forget, though, that in those 25 games Jabari showed us at least a glimpse of his game. We saw some things that frustrated us or worried us, but we saw plenty of highlights and flashes of a future All-Star as well. I don’t think there’s room for anything but optimism when pondering Jabari’s future.
