AM: What are your predictions overall for how both Atlanta and Milwaukee’s seasons will pan out?
AS: Right now I’d guess 52 wins for the Hawks this season and the third seed in the Eastern Conference. They’ll win their first round series, but then fall to my projected second seed (the Chicago Bulls) in the second round.
The Bulls front line would overwhelm the Hawks and the world will once again be witness to LeBron James taking down the Bulls in the playoffs. I’ve seen that movie too many times, but he is very good at basketball so I guess I don’t have a choice in the matter.
As for the Bucks……I really like this Bucks team.
Is it my irrational love for Giannis? The addition of Monroe? My trust in Jabari recovering from injury?
I’m not sure what it is, but I see Milwaukee taking a jump this season. My current prediction would be 47 wins and the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference.
However, I do expect them to lose in the first round to the Washington Wizards. Even if this season doesn’t see that many wins, and they again lose in the first round, the future is still bright for Milwaukee.
AM: Thanks for your time, Andrew! I’m sure we’ll talk to you again during the season.
