Season Projections
As we head into the season, one thing to watch for is how coach Kidd juggles minutes between Monroe and Henson.
Many variables can come into play of course (i.e. foul trouble, general ineffectiveness), but arguably having an overqualified backup big like Henson will sure give Kidd a reason to work with multiple lineups given the situation.
As far as Henson’s offensive numbers go, it’s not out of the ordinary to see a significant boost in his performance. Given some continuity with the bench, that stability will be key for Henson going into the season to see an uptick in his numbers.
Where things could change for Henson is on the defensive end.
The Bucks, as a whole, could have a challenge repeating the type of defensive success they experienced last season, but having a heavy dose of Henson could negate, given how big of a leap he had defensively.
It’s crazy to expect Henson to improve on his shot blocking numbers as he only averaged 18 minutes per game last season but with a hopeful improvement this off-season, he could definitely achieve numbers greater than he’s established, especially with that kind of ability.
