AM: Evan Fournier has been a revelation so far this season, showing scoring abilities that I know I personally didn’t think he had in his arsenal. Has it surprised Magic fans, and do they wish that they could have got him tied up on a new contract?

BDR: Fournier is more versatile than we imagined, or is he? Fournier has been capable of doing this for quite some time and his usage rate is about the same. What has changed is his initiative and commitment to being much more than a shooter.

When Fournier puts it on the floor he is brilliant at creating and he averages over two assists per game. 0.9 of those 2.6 assists come to Nikola Vucevic, showing how crucial Fournier is to keeping players involved.

He’s a unique talent and the Magic are now kicking themselves for low balling him before his extension date passed. Now, he may cost a max contract, and the Magic will have some tough decisions to make in the offseason.
