Questions persist about the Milwaukee Bucks, but they did strike gold against the Nuggets.
The Milwaukee Bucks won a game! Sadly enough that’s pretty surprising news this season, even against teams like the Denver Nuggets. The Bucks haven’t exactly inspired a lot of confidence from their fans lately.
But none of that mattered Monday night–each day signals the start of a new team in the NBA, and there’s no use looking back when they’re still over 60 games left to be played. Milwaukee approached this game in that mindset, and walked away with a 92-74 victory.

Jason Kidd stuck with his unusual starting lineup in this game–O.J. Mayo and Jerryd Bayless both started in place of Jabari Parker and Michael Carter-Williams. It’d be revisionist history to say that adjustment “worked”. The Bucks did get the win, but Parker and Carter-Williams easily outplayed Mayo and Bayless.
And who knows, maybe Kidd’s real intention in benching those two was to get this kind of a statement performance from them. As long as they both get back to the starting lineup sooner rather than later, everything should be cool.
Enough of this big picture stuff though–we’ve got a game to grade and react to.
