Giannis Antetokounmpo has entered rarefied air within the Milwaukee Bucks organization.

Actually, scratch that, he entered exclusive air Sunday night with another awe-inspiring triple-double (his fourth of the season) becoming the first Buck EVER to record four triple-doubles in a season.

He’s 21 years old.

Remember two seasons ago when the Bucks were in the midst of their franchise-worst 15-67 season? We had two things to cling to that year: the promise of an elite draft pick (Jabari Parker) and an embryonic 18 year old Giannis Antetokounmpo.

We thought that maybe Giannis could become a star–with his unusual length, athleticism, and ball handling skills. But that was IF he developed perfectly–a long-shot notion even at the time. Besides, this is Milwaukee, and Milwaukee just doesn’t churn out stars. How could we be so lucky to land a superstar with the 15th pick?

More from Bucks News

Two years later Giannis has not only reached that potential, but has done it in such a fashion that he has legions of Bucks fans frothing at the mouth thinking “what if?”

What if he develops a jumper? What if he realizes he can do whatever he wants on a basketball court? What will he look like in five more years? Is the NBA world ready for that?

One thing is for sure–we’re witnessing the ascension of a player whom we all thought was a best case All-Star caliber player to one who could legitimately win an MVP one day.

All hail Giannis Antetokounmpo–the ambassador of the Milwaukee Bucks brand. He who has brought the Bucks to a national audience and forcing outlets like ESPN to take notice.

Savor the moment, Bucks fans. We’ve waited a long, long time for this.
