When the Milwaukee Bucks allow the opposition to fire away with three-pointers, it never ends well. Sunday’s loss to the Utah Jazz provided further proof of that.
The Milwaukee Bucks have shown us some flashes of truly exceptional play of late, but that doesn’t mean that the woes of earlier in the season have deserted them.
Remember all of those times when perimeter defense cost Milwaukee a chance to truly compete in games this season? Well, it happened again.
It wasn’t as much the fact that the Jazz scored 39 of their 94 points from behind the arc, but that Milwaukee allowed them the space to take 37 long balls in total. As a result, the Bucks got stretched out across the floor and instead of imposing their own will with their mismatch advantages, they were punished by Utah’s.

Putting all of that aside, it’s not winning that’s truly important when it comes to the closing stretch of Milwaukee’s season. That leaves the most important question to be asked from a loss like this one: did we see any further signs of development?
Not really would be the most convincing answer that most watching on could have mustered. There may not have been growth, but at least there were some different looks to take note of.
