Before the 2015-16 NBA season began, most fans of the Milwaukee Bucks were not looking into lottery scenarios. Optimism around the team was high–far too high, in retrospect.

With mere weeks left in the regular season, Milwaukee currently sits in ninth place. Not in the Eastern Conference, but in the Tankathon standings.

Considering how bad the Bucks have been of late, there is still time to move up! If Milwaukee can pull off a miracle and lose out, they’ll end the season 30-52.

More from Bucks News

Phoenix, Los Angeles and Philadelphia already have more than 52 losses, so the top three is out of reach for the Bucks.

Moving up from ninth is not impossible though, and Milwaukee certainly seems willing to stink for the rest of the year to nab a better pick. Here I’ll go through some different end results for the Bucks, and how unlikely it is to end up with the first overall pick in each of them.

Why the first overall pick? If you’re going to tank a season, you should at least tank well. Besides, after losing out on the number one selection in 2014, the Bucks are owed a little bit of luck.
