We’re almost done. The Milwaukee Bucks lost their penultimate regular season game to the Orlando Magic on Monday night.

The Milwaukee Bucks are not tanking. They’re just not good. That’s something I said on one of our Win In 6 podcasts a while back, and it held true in Orlando on Monday night.

The Bucks were in town to play the Magic, a game that played a huge role in deciding the lottery order this summer. With a Bucks win, there was a chance that Milwaukee could drop out of the top 10.

The Magic winning meant that Milwaukee was almost guaranteed a top 10 pick. The Bucks fought like hell and played their big three a whole lot of minutes, but still managed to lose by a fairly wide margin for most of the game.

More from Bucks News

There was no tanking going on here–fringe players like Johnny O’Bryant and Damien Inglis never saw the floor, while Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker played approximately 36 minutes each. Greg Monroe and Middleton both played, despite sitting out recently to rest/recover from the long season.

Thankfully for Milwaukee’s lottery odds, even though the Bucks may have wanted a win they did not get one. That result made several fans of the team happier than anything that happened during the game itself, but we’ll still break it down right here.
