The final week of the regular season was not an ideal one for the Milwaukee Bucks as they lost two out of their three games. Three Bucks players finished the season strong enough to make the last weekly rankings.

The Milwaukee Bucks really struggled this year and the final week of the season was not much different. Milwaukee played three games and almost lost all three of them. It took overtime for them to beat the lowly Philadelphia 76ers. They also lost less competitive games to the Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers.

This week will not leave a pleasant taste in the mouth of Bucks players, management, and fans during the offseason. Like last week, the focus of this week was to get the young players playing time. For instance, Greg Monroe played fewer minutes per game than both Tyler Ennis and Rashad Vaughn.

Again it comes back to the question, do you try to win meaningless games or try to see what kind of players the young guys are. I do not like the idea of a professional team not doing everything it takes to win in every game but in this instance it’s understandable. The Bucks are doing their due diligence to find out if Vaughn, Ennis, Damien Inglis, and Johnny O’Bryant are actually worth keeping next season and beyond.

No disrespect to the young Bucks but when they are getting more minutes than a max contract player (i.e. Monroe) then the team is likely going to play poorly. When the Bucks struggle collectively, usually, there are a few individual players who play pretty well and stand out.

That held true once again this week. Three Bucks players outperformed the rest and separated themselves from the pack this week, mostly because the pack was pretty underwhelming.

Let’s get to it and see who the top three Milwaukee Bucks players of the week were!
