As NBA Free Agency approaches with the salary cap set to reach record heights heading into the 2016-17 season, the available shooting guard talent hitting the open market this summer leaves plenty of cause for intrigue.

Regardless of what type of talent level a team is looking for this summer, there’s likely close to a corresponding shooting guard who they could target.

In spite of an excellent starter in place in Khris Middleton, the Milwaukee Bucks will be among the group shopping for quality wings.

As in all of their summer dealings, they’ll face the challenge of balancing the cap space they have now with the lucrative extensions coming down the line for their stars.

In other words, without big and improbable discounts, the likes of Dwyane Wade, DeMar DeRozan and maybe even Evan Fournier are likely off the table for them.

That still leaves many worthwhile options to explore. We discussed available shooting guard talent in detail on the latest episode of the Win In 6 Podcast, but let’s go one step further.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the two guards who will be fielding contract offers this summer.
