The Milwaukee Bucks face yet another Eastern Conference foe when the Washington Wizards come to town on Sunday afternoon.

The Milwaukee Bucks short winning streak ended on Friday after the team grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory against the New York Knicks. The Bucks seemed to have the Knicks done like dinner, except New York ended up coming out on top.

With just a day off between, it’s now time for the Bucks to take on another Eastern Conference opponent. After an abysmal start to their season, the Washington Wizards currently sit just a game below .500. They split a series with the Bucks right around Christmas time, and the Wizards have been 3-2 since then.

Both teams are sort of floating around .500, although the Bucks are currently on the better side of that particular line. The Wizards are a win away from being in a three-way tie at .500 with these Bucks and the Chicago Bulls, whereas the Bucks could move up close to the sixth seed with a victory over Washington.

In short, this is a game that will have playoff implications, both now and down the line. The latter part is more important. If the Bucks win on Sunday, they’ll win the season series with Washington, meaning Milwaukee gets the higher seed if these teams end with the same record.

To find out how each team could come out on top, we’ll go through major keys for both squad and look at a Wizard to watch. Afterwards, it’s prediction time.
