Last season, LeBron offered to train with Giannis over the summer. And after the Bucks played a home and home against the Cavaliers earlier this season, LeBron both complimented the young Buck and criticized him for not playing that hard every game.
The best player in the game has taken the young star under his wing to a certain degree. It’s an odd relationship, he seems to respect the Buck’s star, but also realizes the threat to his kingdom.
For the night at least, I expect the two superstars to enjoy their time together on the floor. Giannis in particular will go out of his way to set the three-time champion up for big highlights.
When Giannis and King James are running in transition, imagine Miami Heat-era LeBron passing ahead to Dwyane Wade, who lobs it right back to him for a thunderous two handed alley-oop.
With little defense expected to be played, and Giannis playing center for the starting line-up, there is a good chance Giannis can start fast breaks off the glass, putting the Western All-Stars in some tough defensive positions.
