The Milwaukee Bucks take on the Dallas Mavericks in another early afternoon Sunday game. Hopefully this one goes better than the last one.

The Milwaukee Bucks can shore up their hold on the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon. The Mavericks visit Milwaukee just once a year, so Bucks fans who only know about that team from their games in the city will be seeing a far different team this time around.

Last year’s Mavs were still focused on making the playoffs and giving franchise cornerstone Dirk Nowitzki one last ride. Maybe Dallas still wanted to do that early this season, but the Mavericks have been too bad to make that happen.

Instead, Dallas has been acquiring young talent and letting a lot of unproven guys play a lot of minutes. Players like Yogi Ferrell, Seth Curry, Dwight Powell and now Nerlens Noel have been getting a lot of run for the Mavs.

On the bright side, those players are getting a chance to develop and help the Mavericks in the long term. On the other hand, Dallas is losing a lot while embracing this youth movement. The Mavs are 31-44, and they’ve lost four straight games coming into Milwaukee.

The Bucks should be able to shore up their fifth seed in the Eastern Conference by handling business against the Baby Mavs on Sunday afternoon, although their last Sunday game, against the Chicago Bulls, did not go so well.

We’ll go through major keys for both Milwaukee and Dallas to see how either team could win on Sunday, followed by highlighting a Maverick to watch and making some score predictions on the game’s action.
