Milwaukee Bucks: Grades From 109-105 Loss To Dallas Mavericks
By Ti Windisch
The Milwaukee Bucks dropped a game against a lesser team on Sunday afternoon for the second straight week.
It’s still a good time to be a Milwaukee Bucks fan as the team is sitting at 40 wins with five games left to play, but it’s less good than it was a few days ago. That’s because the Bucks dropped an ugly game against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon.
Milwaukee’s offense was actually pretty good against Dallas. The team put up 105 points on 50.6 percent field goal shooting, 35.3 percent three-point shooting and 83.3 percent free throw shooting.
Unfortunately, the defense was not up to snuff. The Mavericks beat the Bucks from all three areas, hitting 52.1 percent of their shots, 38.9 percent of their threes and 95.0 percent of their free throws. That’s with Seth Curry sitting out and Dirk Nowitzki leaving the game in the fourth quarter with a sore Achilles.

The lack of defense allowed the Mavericks to get out to an early lead, and although Milwaukee battled back Dallas ended up escaping with a close win. This is the second week in a row the Bucks have lost a game to an under .500 team on Sunday afternoon–luckily this was the last Sunday regular season game of the year for Milwaukee.
To see how the Bucks blew it, we’ll go through each and every player on the team and grade their performance. After them, head coach Jason Kidd and the Mavericks as a team will be graded as well.
