The Milwaukee Bucks got smacked by the Oklahoma City Thunder in a game that fans probably won’t want to remember forever.

The Milwaukee Bucks went into Oklahoma City with reason to be excited. The Bucks beat the Thunder earlier in the 2016-17 NBA season and aside from an ugly Sunday afternoon game against the Dallas Mavericks had been rolling recently.

Any excitement evaporated quickly in the harsh Oklahoma night. After an entertaining start the Thunder leapt out to a lead in the first quarter that they would only build on as the night progressed.

After the Bucks got beat 35-19 in the second quarter the game was all but over, although that unfortunately did not mean the game could get called off. After flirting with a 40-point lead, the Thunder eventually won by 31 points.

It was ugly. Not much went right for Milwaukee all night. Russell Westbrook made history, but we’ll get to that later. The game was truly a trainwreck–it was definitely an atrocity, but at the same time it was tough to look away.

We’ve got some key takeaways from the action on Tuesday night, including some almost bright spots and an important mantra for Bucks fans moving on from the horrible loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
