Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways From Win Over Charlotte Hornets
By Ti Windisch
Getting Lucky
The Bucks barely managed to beat the Hornets on Monday night. Winning by ten means the game wasn’t incredibly close, but anytime the Bucks are held to less than 90 points it’s pretty easy to figure out something didn’t go Milwaukee’s way.

The Bucks jumped out to a pretty sizable lead, but gave it up before the first quarter could end. Charlotte battled the Bucks and managed to hold onto a lead going into the fourth quarter, where Milwaukee took over and stole the victory.
It was truly a theft, considering the game was that close even though the Hornets shut down Kemba Walker for the rest of the season on Monday. Walker apparently hurt his knee in Charlotte’s last game, so the Hornets smartly decided it wasn’t worth risking him over two games that don’t mean much in Charlotte.
The Hornets without Kemba are not a good basketball team, as evidenced by their 79 points scored in 48 minutes. The Bucks got lucky that Kemba tweaked his knee, as Milwaukee might not have won if the Hornets had their franchise player on Monday.

Regardless of that, a win is a win. Milwaukee now has 42 of those with one game remaining against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, in a game that will either be for nothing or for the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
