Eric Mika

Another big-time scorer in a small-time school Eric Mika bumped up his production in a big way in his second season with BYU, going from scoring 11.8 points per game as a freshman to putting up 20.3 per game as a sophomore.

Mika is a big man at 6’10”, and since he’s not a shooter he’d probably end up playing center at the NBA level. He attempted one three in the entirety of his college career, and the big fella ended up missing it.

His traditional big man stats are strong though, as Mika put up 9.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.9 blocks per game in his sophomore season to go with those 20.3 points. Playing in the West Coast Conference makes those numbers somewhat less impressive, although there’s not much Mika can do about his competition being weak.

Mika was hyper efficient in college, which does speak well towards his skills transitioning to a higher level. He only took 13 shots to score 20-plus points per game, thanks both to his efficiency from the field, where he shot 52.8 percent, and ability to hit from the charity stripe, where he shot 76.3 percent last season.
