Nigel Hayes has been a pillar of the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team for four years, leaving as a graduated senior. Will Hayes next step lead him to the NBA?

For the past four years Nigel Hayes has been a key member of the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team. Badger fans are more than familiar with his game, and the success he has been a part of during his time in Madison including two Final Four appearances, a Big Ten title, and 115-35 record.

Like most Badgers fans, I’ve watched Hayes progress from a freshman coming off the bench to leading the team as a senior leader. I’m a fan of Hayes both on and off the court as he is active in the community, one of the more entertaining social media accounts on Instagram and Twitter, and of course a talented basketball player.

More from Bucks News

Nigel Hayes came out of Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio as the 83rd prospect in the 2013 class according to ESPN’s Top 100 — the same class as the Bucks’ own Jabari Parker.

After a successful four year career at the University of Wisconsin, Nigel Hayes is ready to bring his 6’7.5″ and 254.2 pound body to the NBA after his recent measurements at the NBA combine. With an NBA body, high basketball IQ, and proven track record in college, there are clearly positive traits he can bring to an NBA franchise.

Hayes recently visited Milwaukee for a workout to show what he could bring to a young Bucks team.

Let’s take a look at what Hayes can bring to an NBA franchise by looking at his strengths, weaknesses, what the experts say, and his potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks.
