In the latest edition of our Milwaukee Bucks’ Win In 6 Podcast, we talked about Jon Horst’s hiring as general manager, and the lingering concerns from a flawed process.

The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives ahead of schedule, as an emergency podcast was convened to discuss the end of the Bucks’ search for a new general manager.

While we’ll be back to business as usual in a couple of days when we finish our preparation for the draft by discussing forward and center prospects, it was important that we first checked in to talk about the man who will now be making those draft decisions.

Even having talked about the direction the Bucks seemed to be heading in their search for a John Hammond replacement for the best part of a month, it’s safe to say we still weren’t prepared for what turned out to be a dramatic final 48 hours of that process.

First of all, we took a moment to talk about what we do know about Jon Horst, and what can possibly be gleaned about his potential approach to running an NBA front office.

From there, we dug further into the process, analyzing the reported ownership disagreements that ultimately froze Justin Zanik out, and considering how that may be a significant problem liable to raise its head at any point in the future.

We also asked how the optics of a chaotic search could potentially impact the thinking of free agents and free agents-to-be on what the Bucks are building.

As usual, we concluded by taking questions from some of our lovely listeners via our Twitter mailbag too.

Joining me for this episode is contributor on site and Bill Belichick impersonator for hire, Jordan Treske.
