Center
The Milwaukee Bucks center rotation is made up of four players, only two of whom are necessary in any way whatsoever. Thon Maker will likely continue to start as he grows up, and he’ll continue to have a big bro backing him up.
Greg Monroe opted into the last year of his deal, and thank goodness he did. Monroe was one of the best few players on the roster last season, and even from the bench he made an incredible impact on Milwaukee’s fortunes.
Then there are … the others.
- Thon – 24 mpg
- Monroe – 24 mpg

This rotation makes so much sense. Big men have a hard time playing 30-plus minutes every night, so giving both Bucks centers 24 minutes night in and out should keep them fresh. If one guy or the other is struggling or banged up, Giannis can slide up to the five for some really fun lineups, or a third center can play if need be.
In reality, though, there’s a very good chance either one or both of Thon and Monroe loses some minutes so John Henson and Spencer Hawes can randomly get some run. It happened often last season, when Thon played 24 minutes or more just four times all year.
This estimation of the Bucks 2017-18 rotation is all estimated guesswork, and is subject to potentially change completely if a roster move is made. Hell, it will change completely once Jabari Parker returns from his latest ACL tear.

For now, though, it’s a fair guess at what fans can expect of the Milwaukee Bucks in the coming regular season, until something changes about the team’s roster and/or health.
