Milwaukee Bucks: Schedule released for 2017-18 season
By Adam McGee
The NBA released the schedule for the 2017-18 season on Monday evening, with 18 nationally televised games for the Milwaukee Bucks.
With the release of the NBA schedule for the 2017-18 season, the countdown to the new season can officially begin for Milwaukee Bucks fans.
The schedule can be viewed in full on the team’s website.
The Bucks will open up the season on the road in their first game since a heartbreaking Game 6 loss to the Toronto Raptors in April, when they visit the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, October 18.

As had been announced previously, the Bucks’ home opener will come on Friday, October 20, when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers come to town for the first of four meetings between the two teams.
That game will be televised on ESPN, and in fact the entire series with the Cavs will be shown on national TV. Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. LeBron James seems to have reached must-see TV status.
In total, the Bucks will have 18 games shown on national TV this season, which doubles the nine games they had penciled in at the release of last year’s schedule. They are as follows:
ESPN: Cavaliers (10/20), Spurs (11/10), Warriors (1/18), 76ers (3/4), Cavaliers (3/19), 76ers (4/11)
TNT: Celtics (10/26), Wizards (2/27), Clippers (3/27), Warriors (3/29)
NBA TV: Thunder (10/31), Cavaliers (11/7), Trail Blazers (11/30), Celtics (12/4), Jazz (12/9), Cavaliers (12/19), Bulls (12/26), Pacers (1/8)
Also worth noting, the Bucks will welcome home Michael Beasley when the Knicks come to town on Friday, February 2.
While many fans will be scouring the schedule for the date of the Bucks’ return to the MECCA, with no denotation on the schedule as of yet, it appears the timing and opponent of that one-off event will remain a mystery for a while longer yet.
With the schedule a little more spaced out with the earlier start this year, Milwaukee will have to face 15 back-to-backs, as opposed to the 18 they played last year.
This time out the Bucks will avoid any overly long road trips, with two season-long four-game trips an improvement on the six-game trip out West the team had last season.
What immediately jumps off the page is the tough start the Bucks will face, opening up against both of last season’s conference finalists.

Regardless, there’s 82 games to be played as usual, and no matter the order, the onus will be on the Bucks to take care of business.
