After breaking through in every way possible last season, Giannis Antetokounmpo is coming into the fifth season of his career only still entering the peak of his powers. Where can he take the Milwaukee Bucks in the upcoming season?
After experiencing a full-fledged breakout campaign last season, the name Giannis Antetokounmpo has become synonymous with the Milwaukee Bucks itself.
Without a doubt, Antetokounmpo’s star turn over the last year-plus has been the biggest development in recent memory for the Bucks, and possibly in the history of the franchise, if one may be so bold.
Even heading into a new season, it’s still hard not to marvel at all the things Giannis accomplished last year, whether it was putting an end to the team’s All-Star-less slump, leading the team in all five major statistical categories or being named the league’s Most Improved Player as well as earning All-NBA honors.

But with last year now in the rearview mirror, the time has come for Antetokounmpo to take on and conquer another season.
The Bucks stand in an advantageous position, being that they stand outside of the top echelon of teams in an incredibly weakened Eastern Conference. For those reasons, the opportunity for a team like the Bucks to make a leap and assert themselves may never be more obtainable than it stands right now.
Although the team’s postseason run last year ended in a valiant, albeit disappointing way, the herculean effort Antetokounmpo put in throughout the series showed that he’s capable of leading the team to even greater heights.
Of course, a long regular season first stands in the way for the Bucks and with Antetokounmpo leading the way, there’s plenty of work to be done in order for the team to hit that next level that the team’s fans hope to see and experience.
