In their final preseason game, the Milwaukee Bucks fended off the Detroit Pistons, winning 107-103. We take a look at who and what stood out in the win.

For their final tune-up game before the start of the regular season, the Milwaukee Bucks snatched what ended up being their one and only preseason win against the Detroit Pistons, winning 107-103.

After a week long layoff between games, the Bucks took the court on Friday night looking more in sync than they had looked in previous matchups throughout the preseason, something that was further punctuated by the positive result they ultimately earned.

However, it wasn’t as if there weren’t bumps along the way as the Pistons grabbed a hold of the game by the end of the first quarter after the Bucks got off to a quick start at the beginning of the game.

That only continued to start to the second quarter as it looked like the Bucks had dug themselves into a hole. However, the Bucks started to catch fire in order to level with the Pistons and came close to making that so as they made it a two-point game heading into halftime.

But it was their surge in the third quarter that blew the game open in their favor as the Bucks hit their groove on both ends of the floor and outscored the Pistons 35-20 for the period.

By choosing to roll with their reserves/end of the roster-type players for much, if not all of the fourth quarter, the Pistons gradually diminished the Bucks’ lead and made it a game again.

Although it wasn’t pretty, the Bucks were able to force a few stops late and hit key shots from the free-throw line to ensure their win and end their preseason on a high note. With their preseason finally complete, only a few more days now stand in the way from the start of the regular season for the Bucks.

So without further ado, let’s take a deeper look at what stood out in the Bucks’ one and only win in the preseason.
