Milwaukee Bucks: Grades from 108-100 win over Boston Celtics
The Milwaukee Bucks started the season with a close win over the Boston Celtics in the TD Garden, but how did each player look individually?
The Milwaukee Bucks were able to get an important win to open the season against the Boston Celtics. A day after losing Gordon Hayward — and an emotional game — against the Cleveland Cavaliers in their season opener, the Celtics came in with something to prove.
Nonetheless, despite a third quarter surge, they were not able to overcome a couple of major performances from Giannis Antetokounmpo and company.
It is just one game. It’s important not to overreact, and it’s foolish to judge a team/player’s performance too harshly on such a small sample size.

Still, it’s good to start the season on a positive note. The Bucks were able to do so as a team, and many players were able to do so as individuals.
The Bucks looked improved defensively, holding the Celtics to a mediocre 42.9 percent shooting, while also outperforming the Celtics on the glass.
Offensively, the team also looked impressive, shooting 50 percent from the field, which was 2.5 percent higher than last season’s average.
The regular season is here, and for the first time individuals can be graded on results that actually matter. Let’s take a look at how everybody looked to start the season.
