The Wisconsin Herd continued their excellent start to the season and life in the G League with a 132-125 win over the Maine Red Claws on Saturday.

In front of just 100 people at the Bradley Center in a game that was played behind closed doors, the Wisconsin Herd continued to impress with their early season play.

Coming up against a talented Maine Red Claws team, affiliate of the Boston Celtics, the Herd led for most of the night and maintained their composure at all times with what was often a narrow lead.

While Jabari Bird starred for the Red Claws and may have led his team to a victory on any other night, the Herd simply packed more punch through the play of Sterling Brown and James Young on the wings.

Brown, in his second game on assignment from the Bucks, continued to impress by posting 26 points, five rebounds and four steals.

Young had his best night of the young season to date too, as he dropped 40 points against a team he had played for at times last season.

With the win, the Herd moved to 5-1 on the season, leaving them tied for the G League’s best record with the Lakeland Magic and South Bay Lakers.

Let’s take a closer look at Saturday’s performance from the Herd, before also looking ahead to what’s next for Jordan Brady and his team.
