The Milwaukee Bucks dominated the Portland Trail Blazers for their second consecutive victory on Thursday night. What were some of the key takeaways from the lop-sided win?

With 9:16 remaining in the first quarter, Eric Bledsoe made a two-point basket giving the Milwaukee Bucks a 6-4 lead. After this point the Bucks never looked back, leading the rest of the game and thoroughly dominating the Portland Trail Blazers.

The first half was a half of runs. The Trailblazers would go on a mini-run in order to close the margin only to have the Bucks respond, bringing the lead back out of striking distance.

The final margin indicates a much closer game than what actually took place. At one point in the second half Milwaukee jumped out to a 24-point lead, meanwhile the 12-point difference to end the game was the smallest deficit of the second half.

The win marks a second consecutive dominant performance for the Bucks. In the game prior, the Bucks dismantled the Sacramento Kings by 25.

The win also brings the Bucks to 3-1 in their recent West coast trip. Having a winning record on any road trip is impressive, even if the competition is not quite as impressive. At the end of the trip the Bucks’ four opponents had a combined record of 34-54, including a Utah Jazz team who was missing their All-NBA Center.

The trip brings the Bucks to 11-9 and the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference. However, before looking at the big picture of where the Bucks are at, here are the takeaways from Thursday night’s performance.
