The Milwaukee Bucks came away with their third straight win on Saturday in spite of a late scare from the Kings. What were some of the key takeaways from the tight win?

Some of the Milwaukee Bucks’ oldest woes almost came back to haunt them on Saturday night, as they held off a late Sacramento surge to win 109-104. The Bucks rallied behind a monster night from Giannis Antetokounmpo who finished with 33 points, 13 assists and five rebounds as they extended their winning streak to three and their record to 12-9.

The Bucks shot out to an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter, which they then extended to 11 by half time. Everything was falling for Milwaukee in the first half as they were forcing turnovers and scoring at will. Eric Bledsoe, Khris Middleton and Antetokounmpo were combining beautifully, while Malcolm Brogdon was capably running the second unit in his best performance this week.

Milwaukee continued to control the game as they entered the final period up by 12 points. Unfortunately, in what seems to be a recurring theme for this team, they were unable to drive home the advantage as Sacramento went on a huge run and cut the lead down to one point with under two minutes remaining.

Thankfully for Milwaukee, Antetokounmpo took over in the final two minutes as he wrestled back the momentum and closed the game out, with the Bucks eventually winning by five.

The win marks Milwaukee’s third win in a row and improves their record to 8-3 since the Bledsoe trade. Things are trending upwards for the Bucks right now, even with the fourth quarter hiccup. They have moved to within one win of the 76ers in fifth place in the standings and are playing genuinely exciting basketball.

So without further ado, lets dive right into the major takeaways from Saturday night’s win over the Kings.
