The Milwaukee Bucks saw their winning streak come to an end against the Eastern Conference leading Boston Celtics, but what were the key takeaways?
Following a week of positives, both in terms of results and process, the Milwaukee Bucks arrived at TD Garden on Monday with a great chance to test their mettle against the Boston Celtics.
Not only are the Celtics the Eastern Conference leaders in spite of losing Gordon Hayward to injury, but they also boast the best record in the entire NBA.
Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for any sense of optimism about how the Bucks might fare to disappear once the action got underway.

The more conservative defensive approach that had yielded positive results last week disappeared in the first quarter, and the Bucks reverted back to the ultra-aggressive, trapping scheme that has caused them so many problems over the past couple of seasons.
Although, Milwaukee eventually regained composure and adjusted on that end of the floor, it was already too late as even the heroics of Giannis Antetokounmpo weren’t enough to dig the Bucks out of the sizable hole their early play had left them in.
As the Celtics managed to close the game out for an 11-point win — a scoreline that ultimately flattered the Bucks based on the overall balance of play — what were the key takeaways from Milwaukee’s play?
