A new $524 million arena has put added pressure on one of the NBA’s rising teams to take the next step (read here): Scott Davis of Business Insider spoke to Peter Feigin and Jon Horst about the Bucks’ new arena project, including some interesting notes on how the building influences basketball decisions, such as trading for Eric Bledsoe.
Bucks unveil new arena’s first seats, invite original season ticket holders (read here): Rich Kirchen of the Milwaukee Business Journal has the details as the first seats were fitted into the new arena and a select group of fans were invited to sample the view.
Knicks owner James Dolan named in civil suit against Harvey Weinstein (read here): In more troubling news, Ian Begley of ESPN reports that Bucks owner Marc Lasry and Knicks owner James Dolan have been named as defendants in a suit filed against Harvey Weinstein, where it is alleged that both NBA owners, who have also held roles at the Weinstein Company, were aware of Weinstein’s “pattern and practice of predatory sexual conduct toward women”.
Bucks 104, Pistons 100: Free throws help Milwaukee hang on (read here): Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported from the Bradley Center following the Bucks’ win over the Pistons on Wednesday.
