After some well-earned rest, the Wisconsin Herd returned to action with a loss to the Erie BayHawks on the road on Wednesday night.

The Wisconsin Herd returned to action on Wednesday night having been off since a home loss on Saturday to the Long Island Nets, and they found themselves on the road against the Erie BayHawks.

With Gary Payton II and Joel Bolomboy almost like permanent features of the Bucks’ roster as they continue to burn through their two-way days in the NBA, the Herd were a little short-handed with only nine active players on Wednesday.

That was put into pretty sharp focus when Jarvis Summers picked up three fouls by early in the second quarter, but on the whole, the Herd managed to stay away from foul trouble in the second half.

Unfortunately, having taken a four-point lead into the half time break, the Herd fell off significantly in the final two quarters.

What had already been a sloppy, turnover-filled game from both teams in the first half, become a race to the bottom in terms of shooting as the game progressed.

The BayHawks only managed to shoot 45 percent from the field and 31 percent from deep on the night, but put up against Wisconsin’s 43 percent from the field and 27 percent from deep that was more than enough to get the job done.

Let’s take a closer look at how exactly the game unfolded, and what the Herd will take away from their 115-99 loss to Erie.
