The Wisconsin Herd completed a dramatic comeback to overcome the Sioux Falls Skyforce and get back to winning ways on Friday night.

Having lost their two previous games, the Wisconsin Herd entered the fourth quarter on Friday night trailing by 10 points and looking destined for a third straight loss for the first time in the team’s short history.

Fortunately, the Herd showed the same kind of resolve that has served them well throughout the early portions of the season, and managed to shut down the Sioux Falls Skyforce to complete a dramatic comeback.

Having allowed the Skyforce to score at least 30 points in each of the game’s first three quarters, the Herd locked in defensively and frustrated Sioux Falls in the final 12 minutes, giving up just 11 points in total.

That frustration spilled over when the Skyforce’s Ike Nwamu responded impetuously to a shoulder charge by Xavier Munford, aiming a punch in the Herd guard’s direction. After a lengthy review, the officials ejected both players.

With Nwamu already having scored 31 points at the time of his dismissal, the Herd arguably benefited from the incident as they had greater depths of talent still left on the floor to close the game.

Close behind Xavier Munford’s 26 points, Cameron Oliver continued his recent good play with 24 points. JeQuan Lewis was also key with 20 points, while back down from the Bucks, Joel Bolomboy provided solid minutes and a 12 point, 14 rebound double-double.

The Herd didn’t make it easy on themselves, but they still found a way to win. Let’s take a closer look at how exactly the game played out.
