Win In 6 Podcast #169: Sliding fast in the competitive East
By Adam McGee
In the latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast, we look at how a winless week has seen the Bucks take a significant slide in the competitive Eastern Conference.
The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives as the Milwaukee Bucks have dropped three consecutive games and seen those losses cause a significant drop in terms of their place in the Eastern Conference standings.
With the Cleveland Cavaliers up next and a tough month generally lying ahead on the schedule, the Bucks need to urgently steady the ship to avoid undoing all of their good work up until this point and ending up in a genuinely tough spot.
Heading into the season, most didn’t expect the East to by quite as packed in the middle as it has turned out to be. With 10 teams currently at .500 or better, positions 4-10 are separated by just two games and a sustained losing streak could have disastrous consequences.

With that in mind, we discussed the potential for panic moves and highlighted just how costly any flippant trades could be for the Bucks in the longer term.
We also discussed the report that Gary Payton II will be waived, with the Bucks targeting Sean Kilpatrick to come in to take his spot.
Lastly, we also talked about what we’ve seen from the rookies so far this season, and how they’ve been utilized by Jason Kidd.
