After trailing for the majority of the game, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to dominate the second half for an impressive comeback victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

As the Milwaukee Bucks trailed the Minnesota Timberwolves by 20 points with 6:36 remaining in the third quarter, things looked very grim. ESPN’s win probability gave the Bucks just a 2.7 percent chance of victory.

Yet, the Bucks never gave up. By the end of the third quarter Milwaukee cut the defect to just nine, and with 7:05 remaining in the game the lead had evaporated entirely. It took Milwaukee until 2:25 to take the lead for the first time in the game, but once they took the lead they never looked back.

It was a relatively odd game throughout. Neither team shot the ball well, Minnesota played their starters a tremendous amount of minutes despite playing an overtime game the night prior, and coach Jason Kidd‘s rotations resulted in several starter versus bench matchups.

The Timberwolves were reliant on there stars, with three individuals scoring over 20 points each.

Meanwhile, the Bucks had a more egalitarian effort with 10 individuals scoring at least one basket. The Bucks also received a huge boost from John Henson who provided 14 points in 28 minutes on perfect shooting.

Thursday night’s matchup was a game that the Bucks should have won. At home, against a team on the second night of a back-to-back, good teams will win more often than not.

Still, after shaky performances against sub-par teams it was nice to see Milwaukee get a win against a quality Western Conference opponent.
