In their final game of 2017, the Wisconsin Herd made work of the Canton Charge in a offense-heavy shootout Saturday night.

The Wisconsin Herd finished off their 2017 on a high note as they overpowered the Canton Charge on Saturday night, winning 139-119.

Coming off of their back-to-back set with the Greensboro Swarm, the Herd were looking to finish off their four-game East coast swing in a winning stance by looking to take down the Charge in their first-ever meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers’ affiliate.

We’d have to wait to see that, though, as the game started off as a back and forth offensive affair between the two teams, in which they ended up tied at 32 apiece at the end of the first quarter.

However, the second quarter was where the Herd started to break the game out in their favor, thanks to James Young catching fire and the team scoring a ridiculous 45 points in the period.

Leading by 10 points coming out of halftime, the Herd weren’t fazed by their time between quarters and got right back to preserving and building their double-digit lead for much of the third.

After finishing out the third on a strong note, the Herd led by as much as 23 midway through the final period before the Charge started to make things a little more respectable on their part.

But with most of the damage already done, the Herd put on the finishing touches for the night with head coach Jordan Brady opting to stick with his most effective players in the game until the final buzzer sounded and ending 2017 as they started it, only this time with the win coming more emphatically.
