Wisconsin Herd lose to Windy City Bulls in spite of third quarter comeback
By Adam McGee
In spite of a colossal third quarter comeback, the Wisconsin Herd fell short in the fourth to lose to the Windy City Bulls on Saturday night.
It’s been a tough couple of days for the Wisconsin Herd, as the roster changes that seemed inevitable finally came to pass.
Having lost by 42 points in their first game since James Young‘s signing with the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, Xavier Munford was conspicuously absent from the Herd for Saturday’s game with the Windy City Bulls.
It emerged later in the evening that Munford would be signing a two-way contract with the Bucks, which means that although he will likely play for the Herd again, it may not be quite as frequent.

With that in mind, Wisconsin entered the game with some different challenges to deal with, and perhaps unsurprisingly they started slowly as a result.
In spite of falling behind in a big way very early on, the Herd did all they could to hang on against the Bulls and Antonio Blakeney, as he scored 41 points.
That was best demonstrated by the way the Herd bounced back from being 20 points behind early in the third quarter to be right within range at the end of the period.
Ultimately, the Herd ran out of gas, though, and the Bulls were able to close out a win that wasn’t quite as comfortable as the final score indicated.
