The Milwaukee Bucks host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night in the first meeting of the teams since John Hammond left for a front office job in Orlando.
For the first time in the best part of a decade, a team with John Hammond as a key front office decision-maker will take to the Bradley Center court without wearing Milwaukee Bucks colors.
Wednesday marks the first meeting of the season between the Bucks and the Orlando Magic, the new home of Hammond, the team’s former long-time general manager.
After a significant summer overhaul in the front office that included the addition of Hammond, the Magic started the season showing signs of promise, before quickly settling back into a pattern of sub-par play that has been all too familiar for that franchise in recent years.

Although the Bucks aren’t stuck in a rut like the Magic are this season, coming off the back of a brutal defeat to the Indiana Pacers on Monday night, they’ll enter this game in need of proving a point.
A matchup between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Aaron Gordon should cause plenty of intrigue for fans who are interested in the continued development of the modern forward, but if both teams play up to their usual standards, there should be much less anticipation when it comes to the outcome of the game itself.
With all of that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the action ahead, and how things might play out on Wednesday from the Bradley Center.
