Positive takeaway

Despite the result, the Herd put in a solid offensive performance against the Swarm on Wednesday night.

In what was one of their better shooting performances for the season, the Herd shot 44-of-84 from the field (52 percent) and 7-of-16 from three (44 percent) throughout last night’s game.

While some of the Herd’s effectiveness was surely helped by the fourth quarter when the Swarm took their foot off of the proverbial gas pedal, it was good to see some of the seldom used players for the Herd get some burn to give those percentages a boost before the end of the night.

On top of that, the Herd sported six players who scored in double figures for the night, four of those players coming from their starting five (Xavier Munford, JeQuan Lewis, Kyle Casey and Joel Bolomboy) and two of them coming off the bench (Cliff Alexander and Marshall Plumlee).
