Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: January 20 at Philadelphia 76ers
By Adam McGee
The Milwaukee Bucks prepare to face the Philadelphia 76ers for the first time this season, and they’ll have to do so without two of their best players.
Considering the exciting young talent of both franchises and the rivalry that built between the fanbases during last season’s Rookie of the Year race, Saturday’s first meeting of the season between the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers is a long awaited one.
Unfortunately, much of the excitement will likely be lost due to the fact that both teams will come into the game dealing with injuries.
While the 76ers will be without sharpshooting veteran J.J. Redick, the official game notes on Friday afternoon revealed that the Bucks would be without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Malcolm Brogdon for Saturday’s game too.

This will mark Antetokounmpo’s third game missed due to knee soreness this season, with the Bucks holding a record of 1-1 without their star player on the year to date.
Following a frustrating run in recent games, the Bucks will face a softer schedule next week after this game with Philadelphia, although it’s worth noting that a Sixers win on Saturday and a Pistons win over the Nets on Sunday could see the Bucks fall out of the Eastern Conference’s playoff positions by the end of the weekend.
With all of that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the action ahead, and how things might play out on Saturday as the Bucks visit the Wells Fargo Center.
